JAWS 40 2015 dates now released with Rodney Fox

Rodney has participated in only very few selected trips during the last 5 years, but will join Princess II expedition members on two very special tour dates to celebrate Jaws 40, and share fabulous shark stories of his life including the filming of the 2nd UNIT live sequences he coordinated right here in South Australia. Although the live UW scenes in the final cut were very brief, the whole effort and experience actually ended up playing a significant part in developing the storyline, and Spielberg's has credited Rodney along with camera crew Ron and Valerie Taylor for the films ultimate success.
Rodney initially regretted the incredible fearful impact this first of the Summer Blockbusters had on potential water users, but explains that while the ficticious horror film did have such a terrible impact on many people, ironically it also played a huge role in spawning countless shark researchers and conservationists after its 1975 release.
We have a very special itinerary here to our standard expedition. While we will still plan to spend much time with the famous great white sharks of the North and South Neptune Islands, and look to visit the enchanting sea lions of Hopkins islands, other features features we hope to include are island shore parties with Rodney and touring the other famous local shark operating locations of old including the Iconic Dangerous Reef and Memory Cove, the place where Rodney saw his biggest ever Shark,..... which coincidentally just happened to be during the timing of Jaws.
Late September generally enjoys longer days, milder weather, extreme reliability of sharks, some star female sharks and some of the biggest charismatic regular male sharks in the clearest water of the year.
All expedition members will be issued with a special limited edition commemorative T-Shirt and beanie, and other extra bonuses.
