Helly Hansen 在英国也很流行，最早是靠捕鱼，帆船航海的工作服起家，后来主攻石油钻井平台和其它土建的工作服。我的部门每人发一套这个牌子的offshore防水工作服。用的是自家的Helly tech,做工很扎实，防水很好。很适合英国潮湿大风的冬天。但是同事都说透气不行，比Gore-tex的透气差很多，特别闷。这个工作服比较适合静坐在船上防风防浪花，而不适合徒步等活动。所以一般能不穿就不穿.
Helly Hansen 的户外服装，用色和款式比较新潮，深受叛逆的英国年轻人喜欢。但是爱穿这个牌子的英国teenager多是来自工薪家庭或是吃政府福利住廉租房的家庭。不少英国人见了这些穿H/H的teenager会敬而远之，觉得他们素质很差。一般出身中产的家庭，年轻人还是偏向选购TNF, Berghaus, Rab, mountain equipment, reggata等。别拍我啊，我说的是不少英国人对这个牌子的印象.

What is that brand all about?
They have produced some fantastic gear, especially in area of the market targeting adventure racers & trail runners. Their sailing gear is apparently great too. If I had to pick out the best kit I own for a winter trail run, most of it would be HH.
But why, oh why do they manufacture such a huge amount of utter rubbish too? It seems to be a brand with no clear identity; a label that can mean one thing to one person and another to another.
另外一个：
Helly Hansen doesn't seem to have found the right balance though. To me it just means street gear or maybe work gear. I wouldn't think of it for outdoors stuff.
