11月13 Day 1 恩施市-大清江-双河乡 93KM 爬升2263m After three days' stay in Chongqing to celebrate my aunt' s 70- year birthday , I would start my journey alone . It was an unforgettable and happy celebration , everyone present was satisfied ! However it started raining yesterday which bothered me so much . And I was worrying . . . As I had to catch the early train at 6 o'clock , I was worrying about when to get up , what the weather would be like . . . It was still raining yesterday night , I couldn't fell asleep when listened to the sound of rain , traffic noise and people talking , I turned around and around on the bed, no use. What a sleepless night . I got up at 4: 30 , felt dizzy , then managed to get to the railway station .
Finally , I fell asleep on the bullet train. When I got off at Enshi Station at 8: 30 , I saw there were white color on the top of mountains. Was that snow , I asked ? No one answered , only the cold wind blew away my tiredness. OK! Let me start riding now - A free solo began !
It rained in Enshi too , the good news was that it stopped , only the road was wet that dried up gradually , Haha . First I rode to Enshi City center , took a few pictures quickly then stepped my feet on the Enhe Road which is the main entree today .
As the altitude became higher and higher , the temprature became lower , but I still felt hot cause I was climbing up the mountains . When the height reached at 1500 M , I saw snow on the road sides and trees . Yes , it was snow I saw this morning . I was excited as though I had conquered snow mountain . I took many pictures on the way
At the mountain top , the slope became gentle , then I felt very cold , it was almost dark , heavy fog began to prevail . I couldn't see far even though I turned light on. It was 7 o'clock when I reached at Shuanghe Village , hungry and tired . The street was foggy and empty . No one was out . Finally I found a place to lay my head that night .
I would like to list some key words to conclude day one - endless slopes , hot , snow , heavy fog , dark and cold , tired but very happy !
